Angry Skipper Reunion Columbus, Georgia May 15-18, 2008

Our May reunion this year was in Columbus, Georgia and Fort Benning. The Ft. Benning visit was an awesome experience. We were given the use of simulators and other neat Army stuff. The BBQ at Karl and Sharron Derums home was a bif hit. I think the overall cost for the food, buses and tour was $55 each. The regular room rate was $84 per night and the 2 room one king suites were $119. The rooms were all new and so was all the furnishings in the hotel. There were a few active duty soldiers who stayed with us at the hotel and joined us for most of our reunion. Remember, NEXT YEAR WE JOIN UP WITH THE 8th CAV RGMT and the 1st Cav Division Assns at Fort Hood, Texas. The Reunion dates are June 3-7, 2009. For membership applications to both Division and Regiment Associations can be found and printed out from each of their perspective web sites. Total cost is $10 (lifetime) for Div and $15 (annual) for Rgmt.

Angry Skipper June Reunion 2006, Virginia City, NV

Well if you are planning a small reunion of 25 to 35 people let me recommend Virginia City, Nevada and the Silver Queen Hotel. We had a great time and our hosts were actually crying when we had to depart. The whole town bent over backwards to make sure we had a good time. Our buffet at the Delta Saloon was as good as you can get anywhere and half the cost. See Photos At:Renunion 2006
